PHILADELPHIA – MARKET at the FAREWAY in Chestnut Hill will host a pop-up BBQ event on Saturday, April 2, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., where the owner of Streetside BBQ will be selling some of his top-quality specialties including pulled pork and pull chicken sandwiches and cornbread. The MARKET has a unique blend of indoor farmer’s market, café, and specialty food stands and is located at 8229 Germantown Avenue, directly behind the Chestnut Hill Hotel.
The pop-up BBQ will feature Streetside BBQ, also known as “The Philadelphia Area’s Classic BBQ Catering Company,” who prides itself on using top-quality meats, cooking the meats low and slow over fragrant woods in a closed barbeque pit and using homemade sauces that accentuate the total flavor for a complete experience.
Highly recommended, the owner, Demond Muller is known for “working tirelessly to execute events flawlessly.” Muller says that he is “really excited” for the event. “It provides me an opportunity to bring awareness to my catering business.” MARKET Manager, Lindsey Pete, says that she is thrilled to welcome Streetside to the MARKET at the FAREWAY. “Streetside is known for using the best quality meats, he has been barbequing for almost a decade and he has owned Streetside BBQ for three years – not only does he take pride in what he does, but he also knows what he is doing!” Pete thinks it should be a fun day.
Everyone is welcome to stop by the MARKET at the FAREWAY Saturday, April 2, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The event is free, samples will be available and you will also have the opportunity to purchase different items from their menu.
